Heye, eyem ZA9. this is an offshoot of my main site devoted towards furthering my art and style. every now and then i experience a distinct feeling that perfectly meshes with what i try to visualize in my art, so by shmushing it all together, i hope to expand the periphial vision of my minds eye and finally turn up the sharpness on the blurry, formless city in the mirage ahead of me. 1 thing i ask of you is that you leave yr search for answers at the door and just appreciate confusion for what it is, instead of stressing over the redundancy of reasoning. i have no interest in being understood or explaining myself, but that doesn't mean we cant intertwine frequencies and express love and excitement for the world. awareness and understanding is dreadful and paralyzing so lets blissfully love each other and have pointless conversations about nothing because that's what Life is all ab. sometimes a piece flows out of you effortlessly.

other times its a battle that never seems to end.

with this piece in particular, im not sure what it needs... 
but i know for certain it's not done.

these are the times that can really cripple you as an artist.

i could easily give up / move on but by doing that i would never allow my "brain lid" to open, as miyazaki puts it, and allow the wild, primitive visions from the mind to flow freely.

would i be more or less lonely in an overpopulated mega-city where no concept of fame or status exists due to the sheer number of people? will i ever be able to visualize the images in my head? why do i think of a good title weeks after a piece is finished? b4 the byoutiful explosion?

what if the side affect of a nuke was the opposite of destruction and caused the affected area to go into permanent bloom?

THIS iZ THE SHELL GOD GAVE ME... I'M INDIFFERENT TOWARDS IT. I AVOID MIRRORS AND CAMERA LENS'. most uv my goals r a little dramatic... all i really want is for people to enjoy my art. if the culmination of my existence results in nothing more than "he made cool shit" that will be enough.

i mostly use the standard color set. i often tweak the hue in the inital coloring stage to see what other combinations i could use. the piece prior almost always dictates the color of the current piece im working on. i try to vary the colors i use, especially with skin/hair. id like to avoid predictable colors, which can be hard with only 128. im currently working on value and density. i think i could use the brightest brights and darkest darks more effectively to accent / draw attentnion to important areas of the piece. i feel like most of my art has the same level of brightness. there are many things i have yet to realize with this color palette. as to why i use a palette in the first place: 1. i like it 2. stops me from being totally crippled by decision fatigue (wasting time) 3. exploring within the box is much more compelling than trying to think outside of it. limitation breeds creativity.

waking up and feeling like the person i was before i went to sleep, i feel like my entire day is a war to reach a state of mind that allows me to create effortlessly. if you have made anything you're proud of, you know the feeling. im not asking for it to be easy, it just feels like there is a science behind it. the art i make while in that 'perfect state' is the most fulfilling and always pushes the boundary of my style ever so slightly in a new direction.

using instagram feels wrong but i have no choice. im a digital artist in cyberspace, so i must traverser the 1s and 0s, this is the fate i have been given and will work within the boundaries and accept the status quo, but i refuse to play into the game of algorithm advantage takers / soul sellers. i refuse to betray myself for a trend or numbers. we could all cry "wrong timeline", but there is no going back. let's not convince ourselves that a hyper-stimulated maxxed out society will ever willingly choose to resort back to the way it was b4. the Smartphone is the museum and u r the Curator
